Here is a video of Wayne Henderson. He is an excellent guitar builder and musician. I met him in 2013 at Union Grove, NC. He is a humble guy who has a LOT of talent. He took the time to talk to me when he was pushed for time. His guitars are in demand and often sell for $10,000.00 to $15,000.00 when they come on the market. He has a long list of people waiting for him to build them a guitar. He built one for Eric Clapton. Doc Watson lived near him and it was said that Doc loved to go to Wayne’s shop and jam with him. If you look closely at some of the Gibson Brothers Videos, you will notice that they are often playing a Henderson Guitar these days. I also noticed Ronnie Reno playing one of his guitars on his TV show. Wayne’s guitars can be identified because they have a different shaped head-stock than a Martin and the bridge pins are not in a straight line but in a radius. Wayne has built a lot of guitars and still carves all the necks with a pocket knife or carving knife. I think his daughter is also building guitars along with him now.
