This song was written by Toby Keith. He said it was inspired by a statement Clint Eastwood made to him. Clint used this song to close his movie, The Mule. I revised it somewhat by adding another verse and rearranging the order of the verses. I hope you enjoy my version of this great song. My changes were not made to make any money. I just felt like it needed a little more explaining what the “Old Man” meant as used in the song.
